Patriot Act used in strip club probe
Two Nevada lawmakers blasted the FBI for using the Patriot Act in their investigation of strip club owner Michael Galardi, claiming the agency overstepped its bounds. “The law was intended for activities related to terrorism and not to naked women,” said Democratic Senator Harry Reid. Fellow Democrat Shelley Berkley said she was preparing an inquiry to the FBI about its guidelines for using the Patriot Act in cases that don’t involve terrorism.
