Who am I?
My name is Britta Molander. I am a swedish girl, 24 years of age. I have decided to make my own web-page so people all over the world can learn about my life. Hopefully by doing this I will get the opportunity to meet other people that have the same passion as me: To exhibit themselves.
About my life
I was born in a small town in the eastern part of Sweden called Mariestad in 1975. It’s a very quiet place in the countryside and I grew up on a farm together with my little brother, my mother and my father. When I was 6 years old I started at the local school in Mariestad that has classes up to the 9th grade(college). At age 15 I had to move to Stockholm and live with my aunt and uncle in order to continue school. Three years later I graduated from Bromma Gymnasium in Stockholm.
My project and passion
I have a always been very interested in the way people dress or should I say, in the way I thought they should dress. I think that loads of people dress very conformed and anonomously and they easily just drown in the crowd. Since I was a little girl I have always been very creative - Drawing was my favourite sport - mostly dresses and women and their expressions. At college I chose design and art. I had the opportunity to design my own clothing collection for a school project and I found out that I wanted to be a designer. So I saved up money after finishing college. I bought a sewing machine and made my own “office” where I could make all my ideas real and make a lot of designs. My passion is make clothes a bit tough - I don’t make cindarella dresses, you see, but daring clothes, often using leather and latex and other great fabrics.
I try to make clothes with a soul, with a statement and an expression. Today I have many steady customers and I sell my designs to shops around in Sweden.
